IGCW 2009 encourage teachers to adapt their laboratory classrooms as ‘green’ laboratory classrooms; we are pleased to announce a one day workshop for high school teachers on ‘Teaching Green Chemistry experiments’, to be conducted by Dr. Amy Cannon of beyond benign- a Warner Babcock Foundation, an institute dedicated to generate, gather and disseminate green chemistry information to a wide audience. Teachers interested to participate in this workshop kindly send your request at the earliest.

IGCW 2009 also offers an extraordinary opportunity to chemical engineering students to learn about the emerging field of Green Chemistry and Green Engineering from Dr. John Warner & Prof. Paul Anastas (often referred as the fathers of Green Chemistry). Students interested to participate in this inter-college seminar, kindly send your request at the earliest.

Universities and institutes can utilize the opportunity to view leading experts’ presentation on Day One by initiating live webcasting of keynote presentations in their institutes’ premise. Universities / institutes that are willing to offer their students webcasting of first day of IGCW 2009, kindly write to us before 20th September 2009. Inter-college participation will be encouraged.
