Department of Science & Technology (DST), a premier R&D funding agency of the Government of India, started a separate programme on “Green Chemistry” in the year 2004. R&D projects (both open-ended and industry collaborative), awareness workshops and training programmes are supported under this programme. The details will be discussed.
