Dr. Sawant currently works with Praj Industries and leads the Chemical Sciences Center of Excellence at Praj Matrix, The Innovation Center. His major interests are development of technologies based on principles of Green Chemistry, which are scalable and commercially feasible for manufacturing bulk platform chemicals. He has worked in the industry for a period of 20 years, 10 years as a PG teaching faculty at University of Mumbai and 10 years with industry in the domain of chemical process development and scale–up.
